The Bruss Story

Bruss Landscaping, Inc. was founded in 1952 by Carl and Anne Bruss primarily as a nursery and retail garden center operation. As time went on and the business grew, Bob and Bill Bruss became the second generation owners of the business and began offering residential landscape design and installation services to their customers. In 1987 the original location was closed to make way for construction of I-355 and the company moved to its current office in Wheaton while creating a 10 acre nursery and production yard in West Chicago, Illinois. In 1993 the third generation of the Bruss family, Eric Bruss, took over operation of the landscaping company and continued to build upon the foundation of quality and service created by his family. In 2022 the company was sold to Fairwood Brands which is a nationwide family of companies that specialize in creating and maintaining luxury outdoor living spaces.

Today the Bruss team includes seasoned Landscape Architects and Designers who focus 100% of their efforts on residential landscape design and landscape services. The company employs dedicated craftsmen which pride themselves on the creativity and quality of their work.
